When you think of God and all He is, it’s easy to imagine His strength.
He created the Heavens and Earth. He hung the stars in their places. He formed Man from the dust and He raised His son Jesus Christ from the dead. We know He, God is able to do anything! God’s ability stems from the raw strength of His power and He is all-powerful. He reigns above all things! He is glory! This we acknowledge casually.
But…
What about God’s willingness. Isn’t He just as willing to help? Or do we wonder if our own frailties and inefficiencies determine our worthiness? The world judges us on this premise. But…is it possible to see past the half-truths of our 5-senses existence and imagine the eternal scope of God’s love? This world is, after all, all we’ve known…
Let’s throw a Haymaker!
If the Creator of all is also the vessel of Love itself and truly reigns on high, then His willingness must be EQUAL to His ability.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
God’s ability EQUALS His willingness. Do we really see how good He really is? Do we melt in the whisper of His truth and the breathless joy of His love. Do we reach our hands up for our Daddy? Do we believe He reaches down with as much eagerness as we do? Could we accept it?
“He (Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.” Romans 4:20-21
Feast on the truth that when your tears fall His fall too. He has not left us to hang on alone. He has sacrificed it ALL so that we don’t have to. So many are willing to be unworthy, to sacrifice their lives. BUT who among us will LIVE for Him. Jesus Christ died, so that we don’t have to. We don’t have to live with the pain, the fear, the bondage, or the oppression of the twisted lies that Satan feeds us. Can we forget our past 5-senses experiences and accept His grace? Can we accept that HE made us worthy of this gift.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]…and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore!” Ephesians 6:10-14a
When the Devil, strikes with a kidney punch, GOD gives the majority decision with Jesus Christ and calls the match. Then He raises up the strong of heart and fights along side them. He shows us how to roll with the punches, then parry away. He uses His power and His love. His ability and His willingness. Not ours. But how many are willing to let go of the comfort of our fears? Who among us are willing to pull the blinders from our eyes?
BLAMO! There goes the Doubts!
BOOM! Down goes the Confusion!
THWACK! Fear hits the mat cold!
GOD IS THE VICTOR!
WE ARE FREE!
