Does this Bible Make Me Look P.H.A.T.?

P.H.A.T. Get it? Pretty Hot and Tempting? 🙂

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I say, “Ask the right beholder”. Don’t ask the jerk off the street who doesn’t give a hoot about you. Ask the one who cares. God. You’ll get a better response. Because more importantly than how others see you in this world, lets take a look at how God the Father of Jesus Christ, the maker of the universe, and the Author of the Bible, see’s lil’ ol’ you.

Then you have to decide to believe what he believes. Make his reality yours. It will amaze you the simplicity and peace that will bring.

When you look at yourself in the light of God’s Word you’ll become a lot more thankful.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (KJV)

In the New International Version it says that verse like this: Jeremiah 29:11 NIV, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

3 John 2, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

It’s a relief to know that these are God’s desires for your life. For you! It’s how he sees you, he’s a great “Beholder” wouldn’t you say?

Did you know that when you look at the Lord of Light and the light of the word its light is reflected in you? Luke 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when [thine eye] is evil, thy body also [is] full of darkness. or Psalms 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple. When people look at you they are either attracted to the light or they shy away from it.

Light dispels darkness.

When you speak the Word it is like light shining out into the darkness.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Did you know that when you believe what the word says, even if its only one promise, you’ll start seeing results? You may even start seeing a miracle or two like the women in my support group are starting to see. You might even see a sign or wonder come along with it. Hey I’m just sayin…. I didn’t write the book. But I’ve sure seen the results of believing it.

Mark 16:17a, And these signs shall follow them that believe;

A few verses later the apostles and disciples went out and did the believing.

Mark 16: 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following.

Be a fruit inspector. Chances are that a ministry, man, group of people or whatever that is not seeing signs following them is not believing. Those fruits of the spirit should be clearly evident in a person’s walk. We should be cautious about who we listen to and who we believe. If someone is taking you down a road without using the Word as their standard, check it. Or dump it.  It’s just not profitable otherwise.

In conclusion: If you are doing the Word, and believing the Word and speaking the Word, you are going to look P.H.A.T. to the right person and that’s God.
