Ephesians 5:6; Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Hello! We get to cover a wonderful verse today! A verse that tells us what actually ticks-off God. When we get into any relationship, it’s always wise to find out what blesses that person, and what doesn’t. Right here in black and white we are seeing the things that don’t bless God at all.
Here is the expanded literal translation of Ephesians 5:6; Allow no one to seduce or terrify you with words of undue admiration or irreverence, devoid of truth, because of men who have the wrong seed; the passionate wrath of God comes down upon the sons of the Devil.
Whoa, right…who are the sons of the Devil, who are the children of disobedience? These are people doing the will of their master the Devil, the god of this world. Not a born-again Christian serving the one true God. You can only be son to one spirit. If you have holy spirit it is impossible to also be a child of the devil. It’s that simple. So are you going to get hit with the wrath of God anytime soon? No!
I’ve had people ask, “How do I know if I’m not a child of the devil? I’ve done some pretty bad things.” Honey, if you’re asking, you are not one. Most children of the Devil don’t have a clue that they are and wouldn’t ever worry about it, because of the nature of the deceiver’s business. Besides it’s not possible to serve two masters.
Luke 16:13; No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
2 Timothy 2:19 a; Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. (he also knows who are not his.)
Don’t worry so much. If you believe; Romans 10:9; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved–then you’re golden!
God knew we could get tricked up into wrong thinking, and get on the wrong road once in a while. For those times, he gave us this verse.
1 John 1; If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
After that, it’s a matter of renewing our minds moment-by-moment and day-by-day.
Romans 12:2; And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
God never sends his wrath on his own kids, I think we can all agree that is child abuse. God is the greatest parent and he knows how to keep us out of the soup.
Romans 8:15-17; For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer (endure) with [him], that we may be also glorified together.
Have a great day believing God for all kinds of miracles!
