There is tremendous power in perspective. God knows that. It’s why He gave us word of wisdom and word of knowledge. These two manifestations are as powerful as signs, miracles, wonders and/or the gift of healing and that’s no laughing matter.
Look with me at the following words, then tell me what perspective we should have about God and what perspective He has about us.
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 2
God made us body, soul and then created in us His Spirit. The soul is that breath-of-life that God breathed into Adam, and upon entering the world for the first time the first breath-of-life a baby takes when they become a living soul. It includes all their personality their likes, dislikes, sense of humor and personal tastes. When does the soul stop breathing the breath-of-life? When it takes its last breath. How can that living soul prosper? By continuing to breathe in and out for many, many years–right? God wants prospering and being in good health that simple, that routine and that elemental in our walk. Wow! Why shouldn’t it work that way? God gave us mighty power, access to Him 24×7 and the authority through the name of Jesus Christ His only begotten son. That is a recipe for success. Look at just two verses later in 3 John.
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” 3 John 4
If God has great joy when you walk in the truth about prospering and good health, imagine how you’ll feel about it.
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].” Mark 11:24
Believing is a catalyst for this truth. In fact it’s like rocket fuel for the prosperity in your life.
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,” Ephesians 1:18-19
What do we have to believe?
In all my research, counseling, years of experience and testing of the principles I put in this blog, I’ve found a few major things someone has to believe to see their first miracle come to pass. Over this next week I’d like to expound on what people must have in place in their walk with God, before they’ll ever see consistent miracles or even sporadic miracles from God of any kind. These will surprise you…I’m sure of it. Let’s say your believing is a muscle. This week we’re going to take it to the gym. We’re going to point out where it is. Most of us know where our biceps are, but where is our muscle of believing? We’re going to do some exercises, fun exercises, that will give it a work out and we’re going to isolate the problem areas in your posture. Does this sound like fun to you? It does to me! Why? Because if believing is the catalyst for the exceeding greatness of the power of God almighty working to prospering me and keeping my good health. Only good things can come from learning how to do it.
God Bless You Today!
