Hello! I hope you enjoyed the 6 posts in 1 on believing yesterday. Did you have a chance to read all the extra “homework”. If not, here is a link for yesterday’s post. Today, we’re going to explore the height, depth and wonder of a truly abundant existence.
I’m so blessed you’re here to dabble in the delights of God’s Word with me. Isn’t this life so amazing? Here we, the creation, have access 24-hours a day to the Creator of the heaven and earth. I’m so thankful for that. But, we are not alone on this earth. How many of us have watched National Geographic shows where the animals get human names, human thoughts, human motives and we all enjoy them as if they were the neighbors right down the street. Today, I read a passage in Psalms that made me realize that NatGeo Wild is getting things all wrong. By assuming they know these animals thoughts they leave out their creator. Here is a little collage I put together. It’s a slightly different view point of how the animals, “think”. It includes a little about what God provides for us as well.
Ha! Even the animals trust God for their meat! How? He put instincts inside them and all the powerful senses and abilities that help them survive. They don’t have Holy Spirit which means they don’t get access to God like we do, but what a difference of perspective! Wow! God is their creator too. He loves them too. But we are His masterpieces.
Here is some verses that set me right today.
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s” Psalms 103:2-5
The last few words really sent me soaring. God satisfies our mouth with good things so that our youth is renewed. Isn’t that exactly how you feel when God blesses you and you see Him work in a situation or problem. Isn’t it so renewing. In Acts when Peter pointed to the man lame from his mother’s womb and said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk!” That man was renewed like an eagle. He, jumping and leaping, praised God. Wow! What is the fruit of an abundant life? A powerful burst of love and energy. A renewal, a sense of gratefulness to God our creator. These truths are at the heart of prosperity, they are success, they sizzle with excitement. All it takes us our belief in the power-filled words of the Word of God.
God bless you today!
