Plan A? Plan B? What’s God’s Plan for Me

Did you know that God is the master “blessor” when it comes to our lives. He has blessings stored up for you for every minute of every day. How do we access those blessings? How do we recognize those plans? More importantly how do we live them in the abundant life? Here are five steps that will help you.

Step 1:  God really does want to give you an amazing life. That is sometimes the hardest thing people have to open themselves up to.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:19

Step 2: Define your goals. What do you WANT to do with your life? Take aim. Ask God if it’s available and then adjust as He helps you. He didn’t make tiny robots so He could control your every move. He made a family with freewill. And He’s promised to help you. If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8 says.  So write a list of what you want to do in your life. God can help you refine the possibilities, but be careful not to let your own negative thinking sneak in there.

Step 3: Devise an action plan. What is your next, first step? God can help you there. God if you were me what would you do today to help make this goal a reality? Then do it. Walking implies action. Walking in love towards yourself is one of the greatest commandments.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22

Step 4: God does not have a big stick that He uses to punish you every time you step out of line. That’s in the Old Testament anyways. We live in the age of grace. Just ask for forgiveness and move on. God does and quicker than we can.

Step 5: Sometimes you have to let go of one thing to have room in your life for something else. Be open to what God might suggest should go, even if that seems crazy to you. I’ve stubbornly held on to things long past their expiration date on learning and wound up missing the blessings waiting on another path. God has a personalized curriculum just for you. Embrace it and have fun!!

God bless you today!
