Let’s Talk Inspired Action with God

Let’s talk about the action behind the believing. Your spiritual body is as marvelous as your human body. It has five senses, just like your physical. Someone once told me it’s like His eyes are behind my eyes. God can now access all your physical senses anytime He needs to get your attention. Without getting into that too much, I’d like to go to the first few chapters of Acts. The apostles were just learning what their new spiritual bodies could do when this happened to Peter and John.

Acts 3

“1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour]. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.” vs. 1-10

Do you remember all the 9 manifestations from two posts ago? How many manifestations of the nine did Peter use here? Keep in mind that this man sat at this very gate on the days that Jesus Christ passed by. He was never healed then. counting on hands-001 Did you figure it out?

Keep in mind Peter and John already spoke in tongues and interpreted in chapter 2 of Acts. Up to 5,000 people were born again because of it.

Okay let’s go through this together. Peter used Word of Knowledge and Word of Wisdom in quick succession in this verse, otherwise he would not know to ask the man to look on them. Remember the man was a common everyday appearance at the temple. Why did God pick this day? Was it Peter who picked it? Or God? God. Signs always follow those who believe, so someone in the situation of the lame man had to have been believing for a healing, my understanding is, it was the man born lame. So God had Peter turn and say what? Word of knowledge is what is going on and Word of Wisdom is what to do about it.

“Peter said, look on us.”

Then the man looked as though he would receive something.

This is a vital part of any healing or miracle. We have to believe that we will receive something. Believe is an action word right. Look what manifestations happen next. Peter gets more word of knowledge and wisdom and says, “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Would this statement get the job done by itself? Know there has to be more. The person operating their gift of holy spirit has to ask God, what’s next. What was next?

“7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”

WOWZAH!!! This always gives me goosebumps. The man’s believing combined with the manifestation of believing in Peter caused a miracle and a healing all in the same instant. In this one case, how many manifestations used? There were 5 standing out there in plane sight. Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom, The Manifestation of Faith/believing, Miracles and gifts of Healing. Let’s look at these 5 definitions one more time.

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE: The manifestation of the word of knowledge is your operation of the God-given ability whereby you may receive from God, by His revealing it to you, certain truths or facts concerning any situation about which it is humanly impossible for you by your five senses to know anything.

WORD OF WISDOM: The manifestation of the word of wisdom is also your operation of the God-given ability whereby you may receive from God, by His revealing it to you, what to do about a given situation once you have ascertained the truths or facts concerning the situation.

BELIEVING/FAITH: The manifestation of believing is your operation of the God-given ability whereby you may believe to bring to pass the impossible at your command, accord to what God has revealed to you by word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits. It also inspires believing in others.

MIRACLES: The manifestation of miracles is your operation of the God-given ability whereby you may in the name of Jesus Christ, by the manifestation of believing, bring to pass miracles according to what God has revealed to you by word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits.

GIFTS OF HEALING: The manifestation of the gifts of healing is your operation of the God-given ability whereby you may in the name of Jesus Christ, by the manifestation of believing, bring to pass healing according to what God has revealed to you by word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits.

The first two of the five are called revelation manifestations, because God reveals something to you that you would not, by way of your five sense had access to. The last three are the power manifestations. God only lets us have the power after we are dialed in on the revelation. Do you see why Christians today have patchy results? They do not know how to use their God-given gift. What happened to the lame man?

“And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God: 10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.” vs. 8-10

This miracle inspired the believing of others, just like God intended it to do. What’s the last sentence of the Manifestation of Believing definition? “It also inspires believing in others.” Did it inspire anyone? Thousands of people. In fact this miracle still inspires thousands because it lets us know this kind of thing IS available in our day and our time. Tomorrow we’ll go over another one. I hope you are enjoying this. I know I sure am! God Bless You Today!
