Yesterday, I hung this large finished horse painting called “Red Head” in our office.
It probably weighs 45 lbs or more. My first attempt with heavy, duty, gauged wire failed, because as soon as I let it rest its weight on the nail, the wire snapped. Thank goodness I hadn’t let go of it yet. I was puzzled about what to do next. I couldn’t leave to find stronger wire. And I had several people waiting on me to hang it up there so they can come view it. So I called my hubby, his comment was, a three-fold cord is not quickly broken. Just triple the wire. Ha! Success!
It started me searching out that reference in the Bible.
Here it is.
“6 Better [is] an handful [with] quietness, than both the hands full [with] travail and vexation of spirit. 7 Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun. 8 There is one [alone], and [there is] not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet [is there] no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither [saith he], For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This [is] also vanity, yea, it [is] a sore travail. 9 Two [are] better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him [that is] alone when he falleth; for [he hath] not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm [alone]? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. ” Ecclesiastes 4:6-12
I thought the verses before our reference really put it into context for us. Usually, this verse is used in reference to marriage and God being the third cord, but look at the verse. It’s talking about three believing people prevailing together.
Isn’t this an amazing!?
And it’s truth so we know we can depend on this. It reminds me of being equally yoked with a believer. Alone we would snap under the pressure, but with a group of us believing God together, and the devil snaps.
So I ask you today.
Which two buddies stand with you?
It could be your belieiving children, age 5 is a powerful age of belieiving! Is it your spouse and your pastor? Two friends? If you find you are all alone, don’t wait, find a couple of prayer buddies today.
Here’s what to look for.
- Someone getting their prayers answered.
- Someone seeing miracles come to pass.
- Someone living the abundant life!
- Someone operating the 9 manifestations.
- Someone doing the 5 basics everyday.
We don’t excell at something unless we are taught by people better at that thing than we are. You can only go as far as you’ve been led. If the person you buddy up with when you pray, doesn’t know what these listed things are, but wants to learn, learn together and form a third alliance with someone who IS doing all these and can show you how. God gave us these tools to strengthen us so we CAN lift our believing brother when they get knocked down or attacked.
Go To God and ask who to form your threefold cord with. Then do it and prepare to see huge blessings come your way.
God bless you today!
