Today, I’d like to talk about prosperity. Financial prosperity is a subject that could fill whole libraries all by itself. People fight their whole life and never gain true wealth. Maybe they don’t know the second definition of wealth.
There are two kinds of wealth.
The kind where the person who has money, but has no peace, and the person who has no need.
“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.” Psalms 34:10
“But my God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:13
Need is a heavy burden. Need differs from person to person. I may need $3000/mo. to pay my business mortgage when someone else only “NEEDS” $1200. Needs are determined by the one with the need. Then what? How do you bring this to pass?
The world is full of negative believing; fear, doubt and worry. I have a friend who was told by the college staff that it was completely impossible to go to school and stay debt free in today’s environment. Guess what, God told her it was available. Who should she believe? God or Man? GOD or the circumstances surrounding her? Should she have believed God, or what she heard, saw, felt, or understood through her limited understanding? What would you do? My friend decided to believe God. She decided to believe the wisdom from Him. Today, she has a college degree and a law degree without one cent of debt!! WOW! What a miracle! Do you think she was tempted to run and get a loan at times or doubt what God had told her during those seven long years? OH YEAH! But she stayed her mind on the truth of what God said and overcame the fear by believing.
You can do that to! After your need is all met and all those fires in your life are put out, then “God does ya one better”, as my friend likes to say.
“Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it….” Proverbs 8:11-12
See God gives you wisdom over and over to put out the financial fires in your life. You get addicted to His wisdom till there is nothing that compares to it. Let’s read a little further down in this chapter in Proverbs 8.
God is telling us what He will do.
“Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, year than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I fill their treasures.” vs. 14-21
Did you see the words, “durable riches” and “my revenue” and “substance”. This is whole section talks about stuff. Your life doesn’t have to be overflowing with money to be satisfied. But when you seek God, He can fill it with plenty and abundance. Here is a couple tips on getting you to this point.
Get quiet. Go to God with pen and paper in hand. Ask a question then write down the very first answer that comes to mind. God will talk directly to your mind and will sound exactly like your own voice. His voice is there but He is working within your like it says in Philippians 2:13. The way you can tell if it’s Him or you is by the content of the answers. Often times God says things to me that I would never have thought of before, mainly because I don’t hold that opinion. Also, God will never contradict His own Word. So He will never tell you that He wants you to suffer need, when clearly here we see He says He wants those who seek Him to prosper.
Here are some great starting questions.
- Is it available for me to have all my need met today?
- If you have a specific need, like rent, ask Him: God if you were me how would find the money to pay rent?
- God if you were me what would you do to believe in prosperity?
- God if you were me what would you think about prosperity?
- God if you were me what would say about my prosperty?
These are just examples in a long line of great questions. As you think and receive the answers write them down. Feel free to ask God again if you think you got the wrong answer. I try to never move out on something unless I know it’s Him, but in some cases you’ll only be sure if you move out on the revelation you received. Then you can look at the results. God’s results are always positive. They do not cause more worry, doubt or fear ever. Perfect love casts out fear, so when you walk on God’s direction, it’s perfect love resulting in no fear. Action guided by God crushes and delivers you from fear. Here’s the thing, sometimes it takes balls of steel just to step out in that action. Remember, that verse in 1 John?
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.” (hard to do) 1 John 5:3
There is always a prize at the end of doing His requests and the prize is way bigger than you’ll ever expect. You’ll overcome the world’s doctrine, the world’s theology. You’ll be literally doing what God asks. That is HUGE!!
“For whatsover is born of God overcometh the world: and this the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” vs. 4
Our faith, our believing overcomes the world. Faith and believing are both action words, they require our taking action. So get moving. Don’t doubt, just go!
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hearith us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsover we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired fo Him.” vs 14-15
Have faith and get moving. The more you move the closer you’ll be to inheriting substance, and revenue, and real riches.
God bless you today!
Below I’ve linked some older posts. These all talk about the process of receiving answers to your prayers. It’s a powerful process that I have used for 20 years and seen miracles because of. Each posts leads to the next step so don’t miss one.
