:033 Do You Need a Little Encouragement?

Do you feel like you need a little encouragement today? Do you feel like you’re stuck in a rut? Today, I dare you to get out of your rut and try something new.

There was a man who found an old watch in a box in his garage. He looked at it, and then wound it. He knew it used to work before he had set it aside. Now, he chuckled because it should have started ticking. Then he hit its side. Suddenly the ticking started and he smiled. But again it stopped, so he hit it again. Again the ticking started. It had sat in that old box for a really long time. So long it had forgotten how to tick. He realized though that sometimes just shaking it, or hitting it would get it moving again.

That’s just like life.

Sometimes you need to shake things up and get out of your old routine. Try something new! We have to shake up this old man. God knows just how to do that. Ask Him, “God if you were me, what would you do today, to shake up my rut?” God has so many blessings laying all around us. But we have to reach out and look for them, reach for them, and embrace them. We have to expect them to help us prosper.

“For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:15-16

God is not done with you. Nor does He want us wallowing in stagnant pools of regret or stifled by dry rot. He gave you all the potential power, ability and access to be a super conqueror. Go for your dreams. Shoot for the stars and don’t let anyone talk you out of it.

How is this encouraging? You might ask.  Ha! You’ll know as soon as you try it.

God bless you today!
